Preparing for new collection

Dec 11, 2023 | Studio diary | 0 comments

Something new is brewing in the studio, and I’m preparing a new everyday set with this appearance. Let’s see how long it takes in my tiny studio and tiny kiln. What I like about clay is its natural aesthetic appearance and I commonly leave some part of the ware without glaze to have this feeling of the natural clay and this clay has an unearthly silky feel when holding it and a beautiful sandy look.

I thought to name this style as “sand dunes” but my wife thought it is too poetic so it ended up becoming “sand-stone”. The first firing of some different shape of bowl has went to the kiln now, and there is still quite some work to be done before it even can be called a collection.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve launched my shop on ETSY where I could showcase and sell my pottery. There’s still a lot undergoing in my tiny studio to add more products, so stay tuned for updates. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it.
