Nothing in this world is perfect and nothing is permanent. This piece was repaired using the modern Kintsugi technique. Repairing with Urushi resin and real gold will have to wait.
Reflections
Have a deeper look into art, craft and making pottery through the reflections and thoughts of my mind.
Create art, not problems
The leaves of the ginkgo tree fell a while ago. I picked some fresh leaves from under the tree and put them under the shade, protected from the rain. Who knows when they might be needed
Finding new home
The greatest reward is to see your handwork traveling to the wide world and to see it in a new home, on a table, on a windowsill, on a shelf or in someone’s hand.
Art created by the heat of the kiln
Not all is visible to our naked eye. There is totally another world when looking close to the things we can hold in our hands.
Tools of the trade
The main tools in the middle – those I carry with me always, wherever I go those come with me. Those do the main job and the rest just help them out – my two hands.
My very first ceramic jars
My very first ceramic cups have made all the difference in my life. Probably this is how I got infected with making ceramics.
