It is beautiful for me to look how my darling wife is working with clay and making those beautiful platers. Carefully selecting and picking the leaves in our garden, rolling the clay slab, pressing the leaves to the clay, folding the rims of the clay upwards, carefully coloring the impressions and then glazing. It’s a joy and beauty to my eye to take then out of the kiln and we can together just say “nii ilus” (so beautiful in Estonian). This is a moment when I can truly resonate and say, “I know the feeling!”
Finding new home
The greatest reward is to see your handwork traveling to the wide world and to see it in a new home, on a table, on a windowsill, on a shelf or in someone’s hand.
