Video: Final tuning of the lidded jar

Even when making the rim as smooth as possible, after firing the lid still makes some scratchy noise when put on the jar and the movement is not free. It’s just a minute or two to smoothen out the rim and the lid with grinding paste I have made myself from silicon carbide and fine clay. Small thins make a big difference. And this one minute will change a scratchy lid to a smooth lid.

In this 6-minute video I show how I make the final tuning to my lidded jars.
