Every time there is some anxiety firing up the kiln – how they all come out. Every time it’s exciting to peek inside the kiln before completely opening the kiln door. Here are some pictures of the result both from a distance and up close.

Every time there is some anxiety firing up the kiln – how they all come out. Every time it’s exciting to peek inside the kiln before completely opening the kiln door. After some time, I fired again the jars with Ice-Crackle glaze, one of my favorites to make and fire. The results made me speechless.

Other pearls were the dark ones with Stardust (or Teadust) glaze – black firing clay and blackish-brown glaze with golden crystals like sparks.

Here are some pictures of the result both from a distance and up close. Warning, light plays an important role bringing out the effect of the glaze and the pictures were taken under strong light
