Every time there is some anxiety firing up the kiln \u2013 how they all come out. Every time it\u2019s exciting to peek inside the kiln before completely opening the kiln door. After some time, I fired again the jars with Ice-Crackle glaze, one of my favorites to make and fire. The results made me speechless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other pearls were the dark ones with Stardust (or Teadust) glaze \u2013 black firing clay and blackish-brown glaze with golden crystals like sparks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some pictures of the result both from a distance and up close. Warning, light plays an important role bringing out the effect of the glaze and the pictures were taken under strong light<\/p>\n\n\n\n
