Whenever I throw something on the potter\u2019s wheel and it does not have a lid, I feel there is something missing. Constructing the body and the lid in a way that they fit perfectly is a pleasure to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this video I\u2019m making a shallow lidded jar from black stoneware clay. You can see the process of throwing and trimming of the body and the lid and giving the final finishing and decoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no audio and texts in this video, just studio noise and occasional deep breathing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
